Dogecoin price drops to $0.07 with whales selling near $0.09 resistance
June 20, 2026
Dogecoin (DOGE) experienced a setback as it dropped below a crucial short-term support level, facing resistance as whale selling prevented it from reclaiming $0.09.
Following a failed breakout attempt, DOGE lost support at $0.085 and fell to $0.081 before finding stability around $0.082. This decline resulted in a 3.07% drop in a single day and a 4% decrease over the week, maintaining a downward trend that left traders monitoring whether the market would dip to $0.08.
Data from CryptoQuant indicated continued positive spot average order sizes, signaling ongoing active participation from larger players during each recovery attempt towards $0.09. Notably, significant orders were observed as DOGE approached the $0.088 mark, indicating that whales were taking advantage of price rebounds to sell and establish resistance between $0.088 and $0.09.
Exchange flows on CoinGlass supported this bearish sentiment, with $23 million in 12-hour spot inflows and $12 million in 8-hour inflows on Jun. 19 coinciding with $20 million and $10 million in outflows during the same periods. This imbalance suggested an increased selling pressure as holders moved their tokens to trading platforms.
Despite this bearish setup, network data from Santiment revealed a positive development with daily active addresses reaching 42,000 on Jun. 19, the highest level since April and a peak in Dogecoin’s two-year participation history. While a rise in address activity indicates broader usage, it does not guarantee a price recovery in the presence of prevailing selling pressure.
Technical analysis using TradingView data showed a deteriorating ADX setup, with the negative index climbing to 28 and the positive index dropping to 15, maintaining the current downtrend. In this context, the $0.09 level has emerged as a critical resistance point for potential recovery, with attention shifting to $0.08 and possibly $0.07 if sellers continue to dominate.
In conclusion, DOGE’s recent price action reflects the ongoing battle between buyers and sellers, influenced by whale activity and broader market trends. As traders navigate these dynamics, the resilience of key support levels and the potential for increased network activity will be crucial factors in determining future price movements for Dogecoin.
