The recent Intersect Committee Elections held in April 2026 have concluded, with 102 candidates vying for a total of 37 seats across eight committees. The number of candidates reflected a high level of participation from the membership. Intersect facilitated the election process by hosting X Spaces and Virtual Hub sessions, allowing members to engage directly with candidates to understand their skills, motivations, and dedication to Cardano. These sessions provided valuable insights into why candidates should represent the community in the Committees.

All successful candidates will soon receive onboarding materials to ensure a smooth transition into their roles. It is important to welcome those who have been elected, as well as to express gratitude to those who put themselves forward as candidates and the members who took the time to review candidates and vote. The legitimacy of the election process is upheld by the active engagement and participation of the community.

A total of 187 unique members, representing 24.8% of eligible voters, cast 3,967 ballots during the election. This level of participation demonstrates a community that is actively involved in governance, while also signaling the opportunity for continued expansion of participation in the future. The results were announced, congratulating all elected candidates on their success.

The breakdown of results for each committee was provided, detailing the total membership, available seats, number of candidates, and total votes cast. Elected members were listed for each committee, recognizing their achievement and the support they received from the community. Following the announcement of results, Intersect conducted a post-election review in collaboration with an independent auditor to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the process. The transparency of the election results is paramount, and measures were taken to strengthen membership verification and election procedures.

Outgoing committee members were acknowledged for their contributions to decentralized governance on Cardano. Their dedication and strategic input have been instrumental in shaping the governance model and operational processes of each committee. As new members step into leadership roles, the legacy of those who have served before them is honored.

The commitment of the Cardano community to participate in governance and shape the future direction of the ecosystem is commendable. Elected candidates, candidates, and voting members all play a vital role in driving decentralized governance forward. Vibrant discussions and debates across platforms such as Discord and X enrich the governance process and contribute to its effectiveness.

Looking ahead, the next round of elections is scheduled for 2027. Building on the progress and insights gained from previous elections, the community is poised to achieve even greater milestones. As participation increases, the focus remains on ensuring fairness, transparency, and resilience in the governance process. The commitment of the community to decentralized governance is essential for the continued success and growth of Cardano.
