Dogecoin’s Price Outlook: DOGE Struggling to Decide Between Weakness and Breakout Possibilities
June 22, 2026
Dogecoin’s price movement is indicating conflicting signals as it navigates between potential weakness and hopes for a breakout. Analysts are closely monitoring key support levels and accumulation zones to gauge the cryptocurrency’s next move.
One analyst, Carlos Garcia Tapia, noted that Dogecoin is displaying little strength at its current price levels. The cryptocurrency is struggling to gain momentum following a recent bounce and is facing resistance that it has failed to overcome. The analyst described Dogecoin’s condition as showing “absolute zero strength,” highlighting the lack of bullish follow-through and unsuccessful attempts to breach resistance levels. The four-hour chart illustrates DOGE’s struggle within a descending trend structure, with a small rising wedge pattern forming post a sharp decline. Typically, such patterns break to the downside when momentum is weak. Moreover, Dogecoin is currently trading below key resistance levels at $0.0858 and $0.0909, diminishing the possibility of a sustained recovery in the short run. A breakdown from the current structure could potentially lead to a move towards the support level at $0.0776, casting a bearish shadow on the cryptocurrency. However, a successful reclaiming of overhead resistance could shift the balance in favor of buyers.
Meanwhile, another analyst, Hailey LUNC XRP, pointed out that Dogecoin has retraced to a historical accumulation zone where previous major rallies were initiated. The weekly chart indicates Dogecoin trading around $0.084, following a significant drop from its recent highs. Drawing comparisons with past accumulation phases, the analyst noted the similarity in the current setup with historical patterns that preceded Dogecoin’s most significant advances. These intense accumulation zones in the past have typically led to rallies of over 250%. The Relative Strength Index further supports this notion, as it is currently at historically low levels, indicating weaker market momentum compared to previous bullish phases. Proponents of a bullish outlook interpret this as a sign that Dogecoin might be in the early stages of a prolonged accumulation phase. As traders monitor the cryptocurrency’s performance in this zone, the possibility of a breakout from the current range could bolster the bullish case, while a failure to hold support might delay hopes for a broader recovery.
