BitMine unveils new Ethereum staking platform for institutional investors

BitMine has recently introduced MAVAN, an institutional platform tailored for Ethereum staking, focusing on the second-largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

Originally established for internal purposes, BitMine has decided to extend its services to major investors, custodians, and exchanges. According to Tom Lee, the company’s chairman, BitMine holds the largest share of Ethereum in the market, making MAVAN the most significant cryptocurrency staking platform globally following its launch.

In just a short time frame, MAVAN has already secured more than 3.1 million ETH, equivalent to $6.8 billion. BitMine has transferred approximately 101,776 ETH, valued at $219 million, to MAVAN in the past week alone. The company is in the process of moving all remaining unstaked coins to the platform. Quatrefoil’s Composite Ethereum Staking Rate indicates an annual yield of 2.75% for locking Ethereum.

With a total of 4.6 million ETH under management, which amounts to $8.94 billion and represents almost 4% of Ethereum’s issuance, BitMine has ambitious plans for the future. Lee revealed that the company is considering diversifying into additional PoS networks and pivotal blockchain infrastructure. BitMine aims to venture into on-chain storage, post-quantum solutions, and other innovative projects throughout 2026.

As of late, the value of BMNR shares surged by 3% to $21.4 within a 24-hour span. Despite this recent increase, the stock has experienced a significant drop of nearly 60% over the past six months. This information was sourced from Yahoo Finance.
