Cardano Constitutional Convention Begins in Nairobi and Buenos Aires

The Cardano Constitutional Convention started on 5th December in Nairobi and Buenos Aires, lasting for three days. This exciting event, organized by Intersect and Input Output, brings together delegates from across the globe to influence the future of Cardano, a leading blockchain known for its scalability and sustainability.
Nairobi has been chosen as a host city to highlight Africa’s significance in Cardano’s mission. With 1/5 of the 120 delegates from Africa, the convention aims to include voices from regions that can benefit most from blockchain technology, ensuring diverse perspectives in Cardano’s development.
Charles Hoskinson, Co-Founder of Cardano, expressed his vision for a resilient and inclusive system that reshapes governance. He emphasized the importance of Africa in this forward-thinking approach. Jack Briggs, Intersect Ecosystem Director, highlighted the focus on empowering individuals through decentralized governance to create a more inclusive society.
The Convention will establish a governance framework for Cardano, introducing decentralized representatives, a treasury, and voting mechanisms. Hoskinson stressed the goal of reaching consensus among Cardano’s global community through a groundbreaking governance model merging liquid democracy and constitutional republic principles.
